To celebrate the first anniversary of the release of their Kontakt Player-based Harmonic Bloom instrument, Sonora Cinematic have released an update which introduces an array of presets created by a talented line-up of musicians, composers and sound designers.
The instrument specialises in turning noise into unique and distinctive musical material, and comes loaded with a wide variety of samples as well as allowing users to import their own. Once sounds are loaded, a slider-based interface makes it possible to extract harmonic content in order to obtain a musical pitch, which can then be processed with a number of onboard filters and modulation capabilities. If you’d like to find out more about the instrument, we reviewed it in the April 2023 issue of SOS — click here to take a look.
With the release of v1.3, Harmonic Bloom gains an inspiring collection of 78 new electronica and ambient presets created by music and sound design artists including Si Begg, r beny, MATTHS, Patricia Wolf and Elif Yalvaç.
